Hours after President Barack Obama called on Congress to ban assault weapons, one man's protest raised some eyebrows at a Utah store.

An Ogden woman snapped a few photos of a man standing inside a J.C. Penney on Wednesday with a big gun slung over his shoulder.

Cindy Yorgason said that even for a firearm-friendly state like Utah, it was out of the ordinary.

'I've seen someone carrying on their hip or leg, but I have never seen anyone openly carrying an assault rifle,' she said.

Yorgason took two photos of the man and posted them on Facebook, where they received hundreds of comments and have since been shared more than a thousand times.

She said she's 'incredibly amazed' at the attention the images received.

Jamie DeWolf, the great-grandson of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, has come out with new explosive claims against the church and its controversial founder.

And it's not pretty.

'My family sees Scientology as absolute poison,' says Jamie DeWolf. 'It’s a dangerous cult.'

DeWolf’s great-grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard, created Scientology, and his grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard Jr., was a high-ranking member for most of his life.

'But he became disgusted about what he was seeing behind the curtain, so he left,' DeWolf tells the New York Post. 'For the rest of his life, he was hunted. And he couldn’t even have a relationship with his father.'

DeWolf says the Scientology founder 'became more and more unhinged in his last days. He was lost in his own little wonderland, surrounded by this armada, this dark security force. He was totally lost.'

When DeWolf was 8, he found a picture of his great-grandfather in a book about cults.

'Then I started to ask questions,' he said. 'Then I started to learn about this darker legacy.'

He claims that the church is dangerous cult.

Alexis Neiers Gets Sentenced To A Year In Rehab

LOS ANGELES — A reality TV starlet convicted of burglarizing Orlando Bloom's house will spend a year in residential rehab getting treatment for what her attorney says is a debilitating heroin addiction.

Striking a stern tone, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza on Thursday told Alexis Neiers it would be her last opportunity for treatment rather than prison.

She spent 30 days of a six-month sentence in jail this year after pleading no contest to burglarizing Bloom's house as part of a group accused of breaking into several celebrities' homes. Probation officials arrested Neiers on Dec. 1 after finding heroin and a fake driver's license at her house during a compliance check.

Prosecutors had been asking that Neiers, 19, be sent to prison for two years.

Espinoza cited her age, her limited criminal record, and her addiction as reasons why he chose rehab instead of incarceration for the aspiring model and star of the E! Entertainment Television show "Pretty Wild."

"What we know about state prison – she'll go and receive no treatment," Espinoza said.

Saying she was now battling a lifelong addiction, the judge warned Neiers that he would not be lenient if she didn't take rehab seriously.

"If you come back to me for using heroin, you are going back to prison," Espinoza said.

Prosecutors did not comment after the hearing. Deputy District Attorney Chris Baker had noted in court that Neiers had not checked in with probation officials, nor had she refrained from using drugs or paid restitution to Bloom for the burglary. He said her actions supported sending her to state prison.

Neiers' attorney, Tariq Khero, said Espinoza's ruling was the right one.

"This is a girl in desperate need of help, and I hope she can find it in a treatment program," Khero said.

According to media outlets on Wednesday, Kang Mengru, 1, worried her parents and doctors after her belly became grossly enlarged.

After a CT scan was done, the doctors were amazed to discover a fetus inside the little girl’s stomach.

The fetus is believed to be Mengru’s parasitic twin, the result of one twin embryo not fully separating from the other.

Mengru has been hospitalized and is waiting for an operation to have the fetus removed.

Bryce Faulkner went to an "Ex- Gay" Camp and hasn't been seen since, his friends are worried and are asking for your help.

"Faulkner, 23, was preparing to come out to deeply religious family in Arkansas when his mother discovered his emails to his boyfriend, Travis who lives in Wisconsin. Bryce was given an ultimatum of being kicked out of his family and put out on the street or going into ex-gay therapy. He said a friend of the family had heard Faulkner would be in Mississippi for three weeks and then in Florida for 14 months. His friends have created a ‘Save Bryce’ web campaign to find out where the student is."
