The Real Housewives franchise has been wildly successful for Bravo, and the network has capitalized on that success via a plethora of H’wives spin-offs. From Bethenny Frankel to Kim Zolciak (and most recently Orange County’s Tamara Barney) Bravo can’t get enough of these loaded ladies.
But one H’wives show that has spawned no spin-offs to speak of is New Jersey. Since RHoNJ is reportedly the most successful show of the franchise ratings-wise, the lack of spin-offs seems puzzling, but Bravo exec Andy Cohen hasn’t counted out the Garden State gals just yet.
Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Andy at a Bravo event in North Hollywood on May 22, and when we asked him specifically if mother of four Teresa Giudice has a shot at landing her own show, he revealed, “Maybe, you never know.”
Personally, Teresa would have been our absolute first choice for a solo show (that Italian mama has a knack for drama!), but as Andy further explained, Bravo takes spin-offs very seriously. “We don’t like to spin everybody off, we like to go slowly,” he concluded.
