Oh shut up, Madonna

In the middle of her concert in Bucharest on Wednesday, Madonna stopped to decry the discrimination of Gypsies. She told the audience, “It’s been brought to my attention that there’s a lot of discrimination against Romani and Gypsies in general in eastern Europe and that makes me very sad.” A few fans could be heard booing during her speech. Either because they didn’t like what she was saying or were pissed that they paid $100 just to listen to Madonna prattle on about whatever caught her attention that day. She continued, “We believe in freedom and equal rights for everyone!” This time to much more cheers. They were probably humoring her so she’d finally shut up and get on with the show.
Going to a Madonna concert is like going to church. The only difference is here you have to pay to listen to a sermon, the preacher is Madonna dressed in a grotesque costume, the hot dogs are $10 and you can’t steal from the collection plate.
